Message from the General Manager

Dear Classic Artist Oils Buyer,

This letter is to inform you of our need to change our shipping policy as a direct result of the continued escalation in the cost of petroleum and petroleum based products.

Over the years, you have enjoyed a $6 maximum shipping charge on any size order. We all know that with today’s gas and oil prices, this charge does not cover our costs. Both UPS and FEDEX have continued to raise rates and have added fuel surcharges and other fees. These costs have reached the point where we can no longer absorb them.

Effective with all shipments commencing July 1, 2007, we will eliminate the $6.00 shipping charge. All orders will be charged based on published freight rates. In the beginning, freight will be calculated manually when orders are placed. We are developing a web based shipping calculator that will allow all online orders to be priced immediately with cost based on weight, final destination and method of delivery. We hope to roll this out by mid summer. This same tool will be used by the customer service team for orders that are called in directly.
